The station is powered by a DAVIS Vantage PRO2 weather station. The altitude of the station is 1731 meters from sea surface. The data is collected every 2.5 seconds and the site is updated every 8 seconds. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor with fan aspirated shield situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.

In FALAKRO the "mountain symbol of Drama, is the namesake ski resort in the absence dentrodous vegetation in the region of its base, completely justifies its name, but gives a superb ski charm.Falakro is one of the most interesting mountain blocks of our country. Ideal for ski center, hiking, climbing, mountain skiing, dirt roads with specific types of vehicles etc '. Exciting experience and a thrill for the adventurous. It is considered one of the best ski resorts in Greece on natural slopes, which reach the altitude of 2232 meters. Located on the plateau of the Holy Spirit (1730m.) and reach there by following the path of Drama - Lower Nevrokopi until the intersection of Volaka and then head towards the ski resort according to the road signs (46klm from Drama). They operate 4 lifts, a disengaged air four-seater chair, an aerial two-seaters and three baby lift, which serve more than 20 ski slopes, the total length of more than 22 klm today with the continued improvement of the infrastructure of one of the first evaluation the ski resorts of our country. Combines tracks for tourist and sports skiing, road endurance runs, running trails, mountain (E6), abundant snow, free horizon, magnificent sunshine, easy access and ample parking space.

The area offers hiking excursions all year because the plateau is of exceptional interest from the spring with rare wildflowers that fill the slopes and peaks. It has the necessary tourist services and accommodations to create small and medium size in the surrounding area over the last two years will help further enhance the quality of service. It has the potential to accommodate major sports events such as Panhellenic endurance and downhill. Falakro is one of the most important climbing areas in Greece. It has some of the most difficult and high cliffs where one can climb to varying degrees of difficulty. Major tourism infrastructure project is the establishment and operation of the air four-seater chair disengaged, length 1500m. the second in Greece after the Parnassus but the longest. The infrastructure has been ensured as far as possible permanent operation of the park, where and when the ski Flurries operate normally alternatives for those holding higher altitudes much snow.
